An honest conversation about the COVID vaccine with the Ingham County Health Department

The relationship between the Black community and the American health care system is riddled with distrust. The disparities in diagnosis, treatment, and experiences all continue to tell the same story of racism plaguing the lives of Black people even in the doctor's office. As the U.S begins its distribution of the COVID vaccine, it only makes sense that the Black community is hesitant, last in line, and simply deciding not to get vaccinated.

Listen as I sit down with the Deputy Health Officer of the Ingham County Health Department, Debbie Edokpolo, and the Medical Director of the Ingham County Health Department, Nike Shoyinka as we have an honest conversation about the COVID vaccine.
