PODCAST: My role in oppressive relationships

Updated: Jul 3, 2020

Whether I knew it or not, at one point in my life, I believed my value as woman increased because I was romantically connected to a man. Much to my dismay, I believed that the things I could do for a man - whether it was to “upgrade him” “be his peace” or “hold it down,” some how added bonus points to the value of my life.

And that was probably one thee most damaging beliefs I didn’t know I had. I even held that harmful standard for other women. So this week, I'm sharing how my role in oppressive relationships harmed myself and harmed others.

Listen to the full podcast about:

1) How I denied my full self

2) Questioned my own value

3) Breonna Taylor's murderers have not been arrested.
