PODCAST: Staying grounded during uncertainty

Welcome to the 2020 we never saw coming. The 2020 where some of our cities have almost come to a complete stop. The 2020 that the coronavirus has created. School districts and universities have been shut down through spring. Restaurants and bars are take-out only. And it's become taboo to travel.
And with infection rates doubling (because of testing) in some places, the US is now taking drastic measure to slow the spread of the highly contagious and deadly COVID-19. But these measures, unfortunately, are causing fear, panic, and anxiety in a lot of us. The measures and lack of answers, are leaving more people confused and uncertain about what the next week or next month will hold.

Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, I went through 2 years of uncertainty- uncertainty of where my next check was coming from, if I was going to be able to pay rent, and having no car. If I'm honest, a part of me still lives in a level of uncertainty because I'm a business owner and a founder of a non-profit...where consistent income is what I'm consistently striving for.
So I thought it would be helpful during the nation's time of uncertainty, to share what I learned during and through my uncertainty. My hope is that this grounds you to the things that really matter, tempers your nerves, and helps you refocus.
